1. What deabaco is

deabaco is an open finance education program for LATAM professionals. All content is free. No paywalls, no locked tiers.

The site includes: learning modules, downloadable Excel templates, an AI assistant for content questions, a personal financial-discipline checklist (Pulso/Cockpit), role-based learning paths, and a personalized recommender (Path).

2. This is NOT financial, legal, or tax advice

The content is educational. It is designed to teach concepts, methods, and tools a CFO or finance professional uses at work. It does NOT constitute personalized financial, legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice for your particular situation.

Any decision you make based on this content is your responsibility. We are not liable for losses or damages from applying the content to real cases without independent professional validation.

If you need specific advice for your company or case, hire an accredited professional in your jurisdiction.

3. Account and acceptable use

To use advanced features (progress, Pulso, Path, AI) you need to sign in with your email. One account = one person. Do not share your access.

You agree NOT to: (a) attempt to access other users' data, (b) automate massive queries to the AI or the site, (c) scrape content to republish on another site, (d) use the site for activities illegal in your jurisdiction, (e) attempt to identify vulnerabilities without reporting them responsibly.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

4. AI use — limitations

The AI assistant uses Anthropic's Claude model. It can be wrong. It can fabricate numbers or references. Its response is an educational suggestion, not a verified truth.

We apply rate limiting per user to keep cost and availability sustainable. If you exceed the limit you will see a message and can continue later.

We are not liable for decisions made based on AI responses without independent validation.

5. Excel templates and downloads

Downloadable Excel templates are educational examples. You may use them freely to learn, modify them for personal or professional use, and even use them as a base for internal templates at your company.

We do NOT authorize: republishing them as your own content on another site, selling them as derivative products, or presenting them as your creation in commercial courses.

6. Intellectual property

All content (text, code, visualizations, design) is property of deabaco. You may quote short fragments with attribution and a link to the original page.

Republishing entire modules, translating without permission, or using them as the base of commercial courses requires prior written authorization.

Brands, logos, and commercial names mentioned belong to their respective owners. Their use is referential.

7. Service availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the site available 24/7, but we do not guarantee zero downtime. There may be planned pauses for maintenance, or unplanned downtime from provider failures (Vercel, Supabase, Anthropic).

We are not liable for damages from service unavailability. If the site is down when you need it, come back later.

8. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms materially, we notify you via email to your registered account at least 14 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can close your account before they take effect.

Minor changes (clarifications, copy fixes) update the date in the header without notification.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, deabaco is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages from use of the site or application of its content. This includes loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or reputation.

Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim. Since the service is free, that amount is zero.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Santiago, Chile.

If any provision of these terms is invalid in your jurisdiction, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
